This character is used to be so unfairly tired out in a framework of villain and madman, thereby it simplifies and distorts all that Tolkien wanted to put into this character. I’m crazily happy that this picture shows Feanor in a way that he instantly causes sympathy, despite the discrepancy of his character. He is not like classical pretty elf; he is much more similar to a human of 40 years. He’s got a strong, imperious, sexual, rigid and outstanding personality. He’s got burning eyes. He is all the embodiment of fire, and at the same time his internal madness is not too much that’s why he really attracts. I like that he isn't handsome in it’s classical meaning, his handsomeness is special - it is a combination of courage, cruelty, probably, even roughness, and at the same time, it is impossible to doubt that you see the real man, the skilled warrior and the king who is loved, followed and adored. It seems to me that the excellence of the artist is that she rendered his burning irrepressible soul ideally. And this character again becomes interesting, deep, passionate and vivid. Not good and not bad. Just a man you admire despite of everything.

Мне безумно радостно, что этот рисунок показывает Феанора так, что он мгновенно вызывает симпатию, несмотря на противоречивость характера. Он не похож на классического хорошенького эльфа, гораздо больше он похож на человека и мужчину, которому уже есть лет 40. Это сильная, властная, сексуальная, жесткая и яркая личность. У него горящие глаза. Он весь воплощение огня, и в то же время в его внутреннем безумии нет перебора, поэтому он действительно симпатичен. Мне нравится, что он не красавец в классическом понимании, его красота особая – это сочетание мужественного, жестокого, наверное, даже в чем-то грубоватого, и в то же время, нельзя усомниться, что перед тобой настоящий мужчина, опытный воин и король, которого любят, за которым идут и которого обожают. Мне кажется, что большая заслуга художника именно в том, что ей удалось идеально передать огненную неудержимую душу Феанора. И персонаж снова стал интересным, глубоким, страстным и живым. Не хорошим и не плохим. Просто мужчиной, которым невозможно не восхищаться несмотря ни на что.
